Selected acrylic paintings on canvas with painted organza fabric overlays from 2000 to 2012.

 

I have been painting, sewing, and printing on organza fabric since 2000 and love the translucency, strength and smoothness of organza, and as such, the ability for subsequent layers and their imagery to be seen through from the layers above.  While the later works involved the use of organza fabric stretched taut over a wooden frame or sewing hoop, earlier works used organza fixed on one edge, that enabled the organza layer to float on the breeze as people walked by.
